This game also let me use my Ancient History degree to decipher a fresco of Inanna/Ishtar so that was very awesome. Leon and Ada are both very hot in this game and Ada served the entire time she wasn't leaving me (Leon) with question marks above my head. Quicktime events aren't really something I've experienced in my gaming before so I also found them fun (even if I had trouble with them). Some of the boss fights felt a bit too easy / not challenging enough but I died ample times in quicktime events to make up for this (I swear I was mashing the X key Capcom). Also if you open the map in the menu you can't leave it without leaving the menu as a whole. Also you can't hotswap weapons, which is as inconvenient as it is funny. My friends and I laughed so much over the control to rotate items in my inventory being PageDown. However you get used to it and it quickly becomes another quirk of the game. Yes they aren't great, especially when you don't have a working controller. Next came the joys of the ported controls. Leon's dialogue made me happy from the beginning to the end, and my friends and I had a great time laughing at the absurdity of some of it. I would also say this game is funny as hell. Many would herald Resident Evil 4 as a game that pioneered mechanics, gameplay and design in the early 2000s, changing the survival horror experience.
